Communicating & Disseminating the Results

Learning Objectives

At the end of Module 9, you will be able to:

  • Explain the importance of communicating results at multiple levels of the health system in order to improve programme management.
  • Determine the appropriate information to present to different audiences.
  • Identify how data inform presentation opportunities, and how you adapt these to your audience.
  • Identify various models and best practises for providing data feedback.
  • Identify ten techniques for giving a strong presentation.

In this module, we will bring what we have learned so far to focus on how to use data to tell a compelling story. What is the most important and relevant information to share? What is the most effective way to share that information?

    In this module, our goal was to learn how to use data to tell a compelling story.

    In Part 2, we learned how planning and gaining support for a new health programme requires presenting strong, relevant information in a memorable way. We can think of this as telling a story with data.

    In Part 3, we talked about how data informs presentation opportunities, and how these should be adapted to our audience.

    Finally, in Parts 4 and 5 we discussed various ways to develop an effective presentation, and several important techniques to remember when delivering a presentation.
